Pending legal review — v0 draft

KYC Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-13

⚠️ v0 DRAFT — PENDING INDIAN LEGAL COUNSEL / CA REVIEW. NOT LEGALLY BINDING. Ships noindex until validated.

We verify who you are before releasing any Payout — this protects you, other users, and the platform from fraud and keeps us compliant with Indian law.

1. Why we require KYC

KYC ("Know Your Customer") verification is required under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) and RBI's KYC Master Directions, which apply to payment flows like the payment protection Payouts on Influora. We also use KYC to confirm your identity before we send money to a bank account, and to reduce fraud on the platform. Influora files no TDS return, so none of this is collected for TDS reporting.

You cannot fund a Campaign or receive a Payout until your KYC is verified.

2. What documents we need

Creators (individuals):

  • PAN (Permanent Account Number) — required before Influora can send you a Payout
  • Aadhaar or another government-issued photo ID — for identity verification
  • Bank account or UPI details — to receive Payouts

Brands (businesses):

  • GST registration (where applicable)
  • Company incorporation documents (CIN, registration certificate)
  • Authorized signatory's PAN and ID
  • Business bank account details — to fund the deal

We only collect what's needed for verification and Payout processing — see our Privacy Policy for how this data is used and retained.

3. Verification timeline

We aim to verify KYC submissions within 24–48 hours of a complete, correctly submitted application. Incomplete or unclear documents will extend this timeline — we'll tell you exactly what's missing if verification is delayed.

4. What happens without KYC

  • You can browse and set up a Campaign, but you cannot fund the deal (brands) or receive a Payout (creators) until KYC is verified.
  • Unverified accounts may have limited platform features.

5. How we protect your KYC data

  • Sensitive documents (PAN, Aadhaar, GST/company documents) are encrypted at rest.
  • Access is limited to systems and personnel that need it for verification or compliance purposes.
  • We do not share KYC documents with other platform users — only verification status is visible where relevant.
  • Retention follows the periods required under PMLA and Indian tax law; see our Privacy Policy for detail.

6. Re-verification and updates

We may ask you to re-verify or update your KYC documents if:

  • Your documents expire
  • We detect a mismatch or suspicious activity
  • Indian regulation changes and requires updated information

7. Rejected or failed verification

If your KYC submission is rejected, we'll tell you why and let you resubmit corrected documents. Repeated failed attempts or suspected fraudulent documents may result in account suspension, per our Terms of Service.

8. Your rights over this data

You can ask what KYC data we hold, request corrections, or ask about deletion — subject to our legal retention duties under PMLA and tax law. See our Privacy Policy for the full process, or contact info@influora.in.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as regulation or our verification process changes. We'll post updates here with a new "Last updated" date.
