Campaigns are done right — every paid partnership on Influora must be clearly labeled, per the Advertising Standards Council of India's Influencer Guidelines.

1. Why this policy exists

The Advertising Standards Council of India ("ASCI") requires that influencers clearly disclose when content is a paid partnership, sponsorship, or has any "material connection" to a brand. This protects the people watching influencer content from being misled into thinking a paid promotion is an independent opinion.

Influora requires every creator running a Campaign through our platform to follow ASCI's Influencer Guidelines. This isn't optional — it's built into how we expect Campaigns to be delivered.

2. What counts as a paid partnership

Any Deliverable created through an Influora Campaign is a paid partnership and must be disclosed, including:

  • Sponsored posts, videos, reels, or stories
  • Content made in exchange for free products, discounts, or barter (not just cash)
  • Content where the brand had approval or input over the final Deliverable
  • Affiliate links tied to a Campaign

3. How creators must disclose

  • Use a clear, upfront label such as #ad, #sponsored, or #collab — placed where the audience sees it immediately, not buried in a long hashtag list or hidden in a "see more."
  • On video content, disclosure should appear both in the video/audio (verbally or on-screen) and in the caption where the platform allows.
  • Disclosure must be in a language and placement the audience will actually notice — not technically present but practically invisible.
  • Follow the specific format expected by each platform (e.g., Instagram's "Paid partnership" tag) in addition to a hashtag, where available.

4. What's not acceptable

  • No disclosure at all
  • Disclosure buried at the end of a long caption, after a string of unrelated hashtags
  • Vague terms that don't clearly signal a paid relationship (e.g., using only "#thanks" or "#gift" with no ad/sponsored language)
  • Editing out disclosure from a Deliverable after the brand approves it

5. Our enforcement approach

  • We include disclosure requirements in every Campaign brief and creator agreement.
  • We may review published Deliverables for disclosure compliance as part of Campaign approval.
  • Creators who repeatedly fail to disclose properly may face warnings, Campaign holds, or account suspension under our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use rules.
  • Brands are expected to require disclosure in their own Campaign briefs and not ask creators to remove or hide it.

6. Why we take this seriously

Clear disclosure isn't just a rule — it's a trust signal for everyone using Influora. Brands get campaigns that hold up to scrutiny. Creators build durable trust with their audience instead of risking backlash for undisclosed promotion. Audiences know when they're looking at a paid message.

7. Questions or reporting a violation

If you spot undisclosed sponsored content from an Influora Campaign, or you're a creator with questions about how to disclose correctly, contact info@influora.in.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ASCI guidelines evolve or platform disclosure tools change. We'll post updates here with a new "Last updated" date.
